How do I upload a document?
Use the Upload button in the dock or quick action on the home page. Select your file and choose the document type.
What file formats are supported?
PDF, PNG, JPG, and other common document formats are supported.
How long does processing take?
Most documents process within seconds. Monitor progress in the Jobs section.
Chat & AI Assistant
How do I start a chat with my documents?
Navigate to the Chat page and type your question. The AI will search across all indexed documents to provide answers with citations.
What are query modes?
Choose between Conversational (natural questions), Structured (data queries), Compare (version analysis), or Analytics (insights) modes using the mode selector in the input bar.
How do I select specific documents for a conversation?
Click the document scope chip (shows 'All documents' or 'N docs') in the input bar to open the document selector modal. Choose which documents to include in your chat context.
What are the suggested questions?
On the empty chat screen, you'll see AI-suggested questions relevant to your query mode. Click any suggestion to instantly submit that question.
How do I view sources for an answer?
Click any AI response to open the context panel on the right. This shows all document citations with links to the original sources.
Documents & Jobs
How do I view my documents?
Navigate to Documents from the dock to see all uploaded files with details.
Can I delete documents?
Yes, use the delete icon next to each file on the Documents page.
How do I check processing status?
Visit the Jobs page to see all processing jobs and their status.
What does 'indexing' mean?
Indexing prepares documents for AI search. When selecting documents in chat, any non-indexed files will be automatically indexed before the conversation starts.
Google Drive Integration
How do I connect Google Drive?
Go to Settings > Drive and authorize Revealer to access a specific folder in your Google Drive.
Will my files sync automatically?
Yes, once connected, Revealer monitors your designated folder and automatically processes new documents.
Can I disconnect Google Drive?
Yes, use the disconnect option in Settings > Drive to revoke access at any time.
